Why This Platform
Built for how field service actually works
Most technical-services businesses run bookings, dispatch, quotations, spare-parts purchasing and supplier payments across phone calls, WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets and separate supplier relationships. This platform replaces all of that.
Service + Materials, Connected
A technician who finds a faulty component can search marketplace stock, raise a material requirement against the job, get customer approval and payment, and have it delivered — without leaving the job record.
Configurable, Not Hard-Coded
Service categories, subcategories, pricing methods, AMC plans, product categories and commission rates are all managed by Admin. New services can be added without changing a line of code.
Built to Grow, Sized to Today
A practical scope focused on running the business now, on a modular, API-driven architecture that can later add cities, payouts, AI features, and third-party integrations.
B2B & B2C Ready
Individual homeowners and business customers share the same app. Business accounts support multiple properties, multiple contact persons, service history per site, and AMC contracts.
AI-Integrated · AI-Ready
Intelligence built into every job
Not an add-on. AI is woven into the dispatch logic, scheduling engine, and operations dashboard so your team works smarter from day one.
AI Smart Scheduling
The system automatically assigns jobs to the best-available technician based on skill set, proximity, current workload, and historical job duration — minimising travel time and maximising daily job capacity.
AI-Optimised Job Routing
When multiple jobs are assigned to a technician, the AI plans the most efficient route across all sites — factoring in traffic, job duration estimates, and customer time windows.
Predicted Job Durations
Based on service category, technician profile, and historical completion times, the AI estimates how long each job will take — giving the admin dashboard accurate capacity planning in real time.
AI Operations Dashboard
The admin view surfaces AI-generated insights: which technicians are under-utilised, which service categories have the longest wait times, and where demand is growing — so management acts on data, not gut feel.
Predictive Maintenance Alerts
For AMC contract customers, the platform analyses job history and service intervals to surface predictive maintenance recommendations — flagging equipment likely to fail before the next scheduled visit.
AI-Ready Architecture
Built on a modular, API-driven architecture with structured job data from day one. As the platform accumulates operational data, additional AI modules — demand forecasting, churn prediction, pricing optimisation — can be activated without rebuilding.

FAQ
Common questions
What is a Technical Services Management Platform?
A Technical Services Management Platform is custom software that connects every step of a field service business — customer bookings, technician dispatch and tracking, inspection and quotation, spare-parts procurement, and payment settlement — in one system. It replaces phone calls, WhatsApp groups, and spreadsheets with a single app for customers, a mobile app for technicians, a web dashboard for operations, and a portal for suppliers.
What apps are included in the platform?
The platform comprises four connected applications sharing one secure backend: (1) a Customer App (Flutter, iOS & Android) for booking services, tracking technicians, buying materials, and managing AMC contracts; (2) a Technician App (Flutter, iOS & Android) for job management, navigation, before/after documentation, and customer sign-off; (3) an Admin Web Dashboard (Next.js) for operations, scheduling, finance, and reporting; and (4) a Supplier Portal (Next.js) for product management, stock, and order fulfilment.
What is the Materials-to-Service integration?
The Materials-to-Service integration is a key differentiator. When a technician on-site identifies a faulty component, they can search the multi-vendor marketplace directly from their app, raise a material requirement against the job, get customer approval, collect payment, and have the part delivered to the job site — all without leaving the job record. Every material sold earns platform commission and is traceable in reporting.
What technology does the platform use?
The platform is built on Flutter for iOS and Android mobile apps (single codebase, native performance), Next.js for the admin dashboard and supplier portal (fast, responsive web), and PostgreSQL as the relational database for jobs, orders, stock, and financial records. The backend is a modular REST API with token-based authentication and role-based access control. Third-party integrations include payment gateways, Google Maps, Firebase push notifications, and optional SMS/WhatsApp.
What service categories can the platform manage?
Service categories are fully configurable by Admin — no code changes required. Typical categories include AC/HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Handyman, Carpentry, Painting, Appliance Repair, CCTV, Networking, and General/Property Maintenance. Admin can add, edit, activate, or deactivate unlimited categories and subcategories. Each service supports fixed-price, hourly, or inspection/quotation pricing — chosen per service by Admin.
Does the platform support AMC / Annual Maintenance Contracts?
Yes. Admin creates dynamic AMC plans with configurable service categories, number of visits, contract duration, included services, exclusions, emergency visit allowances, and renewal reminders. When a customer purchases or is assigned an AMC, the system automatically schedules planned service visits. Each visit runs through the standard job workflow — assignment, GPS tracking, documentation, and customer sign-off — giving the client a full digital service history per property.
How does the technician GPS tracking work?
Technicians are not tracked all day. Location sharing activates automatically when the technician marks "On the Way" to a job and deactivates when they mark "Arrived" (or optionally when the job is completed). Customers see the technician's live position on a map with an ETA. Admin has a live operations view showing all active technicians and their current job status. Every status change is time-stamped and recorded against the job.
How long does it take to build this platform?
The full platform — customer app, technician app, admin dashboard, supplier portal, e-commerce marketplace, and all integrations — is delivered in 8–10 weeks from project confirmation and kick-off. Development runs in parallel streams: the core Technical Services module is demonstrated at around Week 6; the complete platform including e-commerce is delivered at Weeks 9–10. The timeline assumes timely client approvals, content delivery, and payment-gateway account availability.
