The Starting Point
When this client first contacted Al Wafaa Group, they operated a single flower shop in Dubai with no online presence beyond a basic brochure website that had not been updated in years. Sales were entirely walk-in. The owner had a clear vision — become the go-to flower and gift delivery brand in Dubai — but no digital roadmap to get there.
That first conversation was fifteen years ago. It marked the beginning of one of our longest and most rewarding client partnerships.
Phase 1 — Foundation (Years 1–3)
We started with the fundamentals: a professionally designed e-commerce website with same-day delivery booking, product catalogue management, and a payment gateway integrated with local UAE processors. We built the site on a platform the client could manage themselves, with full training provided.
Simultaneously, we launched a local SEO campaign targeting high-intent keywords in Dubai — “flower delivery Dubai,” “same day flowers Dubai,” “birthday flowers delivery UAE” — and built out the Google My Business profile with consistent NAP data, photos, and review management. Within 18 months, they ranked on page one for their core keywords.
Phase 2 — Growth Engine (Years 4–8)
With SEO rankings established, we shifted focus to building a retention and repeat-purchase engine. We deployed WhatsApp Business API campaigns — seasonal broadcasts for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Eid, and National Day — and built an opt-in subscriber list that grew to over 40,000 engaged contacts.
WhatsApp campaigns consistently outperformed email by a factor of three in open rates and five in click-throughs. For time-sensitive promotions like same-day delivery offers, the immediacy of WhatsApp proved transformative for conversion.
We also launched Google Ads to capture demand beyond organic reach, particularly for competitor brand terms and high-commercial-intent searches. The campaigns were tightly managed with location extensions, call extensions, and seasonal bid adjustments.
Phase 3 — Scale & Loyalty (Years 9–15)
By year nine, the client had expanded to multiple locations across Dubai and introduced corporate gifting as a significant revenue stream. We built a corporate accounts portal and an Arabic-language version of the site to reach the broader UAE market.
A custom loyalty programme — integrated into the website, WhatsApp, and Google Ads remarketing audiences — drove repeat purchase rates above 60%, well above the industry average of 25–35% for gifting e-commerce.
Today, fifteen years on, this client consistently ranks in the top three organic positions for “flower delivery Dubai” and its variants, receives over 1,000 online orders per month, and has an active WhatsApp subscriber base of 40,000+ — all built and maintained by Al Wafaa Group.
What Made This Partnership Work
The client never changed their digital partner. That continuity matters more than most businesses realize — accumulated knowledge of the brand, the audience, the seasonality, and the competitive landscape compounds over time. A new agency resets the clock. We never did.
